Dear Excellency.

On behalf of the members and friends of the Australia-DPR Korea Friendship  and Cultural Society allow me to extend to you and all of the Korean people our sincere condolences and we share our grief with all of the Korean people on the 3rd anniversary of the demise of H.E and Great General Kim Jong IL.

Throughout the world progressive and peace loving people are showing great emotion admiration and boundless respect for H.E Kim Jong IL. Although it is only the 3rd anniversary of the demise of General Kim Jong IL his revolutionary exploits, his love for the Koran people, his un-relentless struggle for peace, justice and independence and the reunification of Korea lives on in the hearts and minds of all the world progressive and peace loving people.

Throughout his revolutionary life General Kim Jong IL placed great emphasis on the essential need to strengthen Songun politics to defend and advance Korean socialism.

In the 1970s and 80s he concluded that as a fundamental task of army building, the KPA must become an army of the leader and of the party and that it was essential for it to be strengthen politically, ideologically as well as technically and military.

In addition to this aspect of his revolutionary activities he also gave great attention to the ideological theory of Juche. To-day the man-centered Juche idea founded by President Kim IL Sung, has become the universal idea for the world people in the struggle for independence thanks to the far sighted thinking of General Kim Jong IL with the International Institute of the Juche Idea founded in April 1978.

The World Conference on the Juche Idea took place in Pyongyang to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of President Kim IL Sung and as a member of the Central Committee of the International Songun Study Group I had great pleasure and privilege to participate in the World Conference.

General Kim Jong IL all his life believed in the popular masses regarding them as his teacher. "The People are my God" was his motto it was his principle of life to devotedly work for the people.General Kim Jong IL was born into struggle and died in struggle a true revolutionary.

To-day under the wise leadership of H.E. Kim Jong Un the Korean people are victoriously marching forward in building powerful and prosperous socialist Korea under the flag of Juche and the banner of Songun.

Yours Sincerely,

Raymond Ferguson,
National Secretary Australia-DPR Korea Friendship and Cultural Society
