THE Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a mysterious country in the East. This country, despite extreme sanctions and blockade imposed by upon it by the allied forces of the US and other imperialists and the manifold trials and unprecedented natural calamities, has become more powerful and achieved one victory after another.
The secret of the victory of the DPRK is connected with the history of struggle of the Korean people.
In the first half of the 20th century (1905-1945) the Korean people waged a bloody armed struggle to liberate the country from the occupation by Japan.
President Kim Il Sung created the ideas of Juche and Songun in June, 1930 and founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, a standing revolutionary army force, on April 25, 1932 to achieve the national independence and social emancipation of the Korean people.
Under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, which had neither the state rear nor the support from a regular army, dealt a staggering blow to the Japanese aggressors with adroit guerrilla tactics and achieved the historic cause of the country’s liberation on August 15, 1945 at last.
Korea won the historic victory of the three-year-long Korean war (1950-1953) unleashed by the US.
Hurled into it were a huge armed force over two million strong, including troops of the US and its 15 vassal states and enormous amounts of war materials. However, the United States fell on their knees before the DPR Korea founded less than 2 years and signed the Armistice Agreement no better than an instrument of surrender.
After the war the US had alleged that even in a hundred years Korea would not rise again on the debris but in three years the Korean people carried out post-war rehabilitation. It also attained the high goal of industrialization only in 14 years, which other countries had taken a hundred or hundreds of years to attain.
In the closing years of the 20th century socialism collapsed one after another in several countries and unheard-of natural disasters hit DPRK for several consecutive years. Led by Chairman Kim Jong Il of the National Defense Commission, the Korean people, holding aloft the banner of Songun, braved the worst-ever trials and difficulties, defending socialism and ushering in a new era of building a powerful socialist country.
The US and the Western countries are now taking sanctions against DPRK to isolate and stifle this country, but the Korean people has erected one after another world-standard structures that symbolize the victory in the building of a powerful socialist country under the leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Un of the DPRK State Affairs Commission to demonstrat its might to the world.
The DPRK’s victory has continued from one generation to the next and century after century.
Then, what makes the DPRK always emerge victorious?
It is because the Korean people are led by the outstanding leaders generation after generation and the DPRK relies on the strength of the people.
The Juche idea and Songun idea authored by President Kim Il Sung and developed by Chairman Kim Jong Il in a deep-going way and their embodiment, all lines and policies, are now being carried forward by Chairman Kim Jong Un of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and they serve as an almighty strategy and sword which bring all victories to the century.
In this country the people are being regarded as mentors and omnipotent beings.
The ideal of “The people are my God,” which was the lifetime motto of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il of the National Defense Commission, is also the motto of Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission.
Chairman Kim Jong Un’s politics is based on the benevolent love for the people, and runs through with the devotion for the good of the people.
Hence, the Korean people absolutely respect and follow him and, under his seasoned leadership, they are now achieving world-startling miracles in every field of building a powerful socialist country with each passing day and strengthening the invincible military capabilities in every way.
